Tote Placepot Betting Rules

Totesport Placepot BetsThe tote Placepot is one of the most popular totepool bets as it is a bet that gives those that play a lot of entertainment every afternoon or evening for a very small investment as you select 6 horse to come in the placed in each of the 6 placepot races and this is far easier than having to pick the winner in each race which is known as the Jackpot.

To participate in the tote placepot you will need to abide by the following guidelines and rules:

  • The Minimum Placepot stake is 1 increasing by 10p after that. However, 10p perm bets can be accepted if the total bet = 1. ie 10 lines at 10p.

  • A toteplacepot bet can be accepted daily at every British horse race meeting. It consists of selecting a placed horse in all 6 toteplacepot races at your selected meeting. The toteplacepot races will always be the first 6 races unless otherwise stated.

  • Bets are accepted up to the first race and dividends are declared after the last toteplacepot race.

  • Any bets placed on a non-runner will be replaced by the Starting Price favourite. Where there are joint favourites, the joint favourite with the lowest racecard number will be taken. If the favourite is withdrawn before coming under Starters Orders and too late for a new favourite to be made, the horse returned at the next shortest price will be taken. Where two or more horses are returned at the next shortest price, the one with the lowest racecard number will be taken. If no Starting Price is returned the first actual runner quoted in the Racing Post betting forecast will be taken. Should the Racing Post not publish a betting forecast, settlement will be made in line with Tote Racecourse Cash Rules. In the event of a pool being cancelled bets for the pool concerned will be void.

  • If the racecard number of an overnight declared runner is allocated to a reserve horse, the reserve horse will be re-numbered sequentially in line with tote racecourse cash rules.

  • If a totepool betting race is a walkover, is not run or is declared void, the pool(s) will operate on the remaining specified tote races. In this event total stakes on permutation entries are applied in full to the remaining races.

Placepot Betting Tips

Placepot Betting Tips
Like all horse racing the general public thinks that there is someone out there who has the winning ingredients to every race but unfortunately that is far from the case and the only real way to make money out of anything is a lot of hard work and effort and this applies to Horse Racing as well.

Online Totepool Quadpot Bets

Tote QuadpotThe tote Quadpot is similar to the tote placepot except that you are required to pick the placed horses in the four relevant races, which differs from the placepot where the requirement is to select the placed horses in the six placepot races. Therefore, it is a bit easier and the Quadpot is about selecting the placed horses in races 3 to 6 on the card.
